The Labour Court recommended that Roadstone Group Of Companies and the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union negotiate directly on the union’s claim for a 4% wage increase for 80 clerical workers and the company’s proposed overtime changes. The Court said both sides had adopted entrenched positions and recommended that talks finish by mid-November 1990. An Industrial Relations Officer would be available to assist if requested. The recommendation was signed on 28 September 1990.
