The Labour Court did not uphold the claim by the Amalgamated Transport and General Workers' Union and the Irish Transport and General Workers' Union over Cablelink Limited's transfer of two technicians between service areas. The recommendation was signed on 12 September 1988. The unions said the transfers had not been discussed with them and raised concerns about standby arrangements. Cablelink said it had acted under its agreement with the unions and that the transfers did not adversely affect the technicians' terms and conditions. The court was satisfied that the agreement had been followed and the standby arrangements dealt with adequately.
