The Labour Court recommended that Irish Printed Circuits discuss a worker’s dismissal with Manufacturing Science And Finance, and recognise the union as the negotiating and representation body for its members. The recommendation was signed on 3 May 1988. The Court said the dismissal could be referred to a Rights Commissioner or another third party if needed. It also recommended that the company and union negotiate an agreement to govern their relationship and help avoid similar difficulties in future.
