In 1987, the Labour Court did not recommend conceding the Eastern Health Board Group of Unions’ claim for travel-time payments for ten craftsmen at Naas General Hospital. The recommendation was signed on 13 March 1987. The unions said the workers were the only craftsmen they represented who did not receive minimum travel time. The Eastern Health Board said the workers did not generally work within the area covered by the Dublin Working Rule Agreement. The Court agreed with that assessment and did not recommend conceding the claim.
