A WRC adjudication officer recommended that an employer take no further action on a worker’s dispute over an investigation into alleged unauthorised absences and disciplinary handling. The recommendation was dated 14 July 2026. The worker disputed some of the alleged absences, objected to how the investigation was handled and said she had appealed internally. The employer said the matter did not reach the disciplinary stage, no sanctions were imposed and the worker had not exhausted its grievance procedure. The officer found that the worker had not completed that procedure before bringing the dispute to the WRC.
