WRC recommends worker use pension scheme appeal process first

The WRC recommended that a worker pursue available local options before taking a dispute over retained pension contributions to the WRC. The recommendation was dated 14 July 2026. The employer questioned the WRC’s jurisdiction and said the worker had not used the scheme’s appeal process. His representative confirmed that no appeal had been lodged. The adjudication officer said the local appeal process should be used first.
