The WRC did not recommend in a worker’s favour in a dispute over her pay-scale placement when she returned to work. Adjudication Officer Christina Ryan dated the recommendation 9 February 2026. The worker sought a higher point on a four-year scale and compensation for the pay difference. The employer said a 2020 company and union agreement governed her placement, and that higher placements for a small number of other returning employees had been errors. Ryan found that the agreement applied and had been correctly followed in the worker’s case. She also accepted that the other placements were errors and did not create an entitlement to depart from the agreed pay structure.
