The Workplace Relations Commission recommended that an employer place a worker on point five of the Clerical scale from the date she lodged a grievance in January 2024. The recommendation was dated 5 December 2025. The worker said she had worked for the employer for 14 years, was the only employee without a set salary scale and should be placed on the Development Worker scale. The employer said 21 staff were on minimum wage, that it had offered the worker a living wage and point one on the Clerical scale, and that her duties differed from those of a Development Worker. The WRC said her work to secure ongoing funding made her a core employee and recommended appointment to point five of the Clerical scale. It also advised parties to submit their materials well ahead of hearings.
