The worker said the business lost her first grievance and did not conclude her second. The employer admitted losing the first request and failing to complete the second, apologised and offered €10,000 compensation.
The adjudication officer found the employer had failed to investigate and issue an outcome under its procedure. The recommendation concerned the handling of the grievances; the WRC did not make substantive findings about the underlying allegations or recommend the three years of lost earnings sought by the worker.
