The WRC recommended that a transport company pay a driver €2,400 in compensation after finding it had dismissed him by ignoring his attempts to make contact. The recommendation, dated 1 October 2025, also said the company should have contacted him about returning to work. The driver said he had been unfairly dismissed and was owed five days' statutory sick pay. The company said he had stopped contacting it about returning to work and had received three days' holiday pay. In a separate dispute over sick pay, Adjudication Officer Jim Dolan could not recommend in the driver's favour.
