The Workplace Relations Commission recommended that a parking services company remove a retired worker’s expired written warning and related records from his personnel file, if they had not already been removed. The recommendation was dated 25 April 2024. The worker, a traffic controller, received a nine-month written warning after a child was found in the back of a towed vehicle. He said he had been treated unfairly compared with colleagues involved in similar incidents; the company said it had followed its disciplinary process. The warning had expired by the time of the recommendation, and the adjudication officer said the parties should move on from the dispute.
