A WRC adjudication officer recommended on 31 January 2024 that a company pay a worker €2,500 in compensation after an investigation into her workplace complaint ended without an appeal process. The worker said she was moved from an area where she enjoyed working and felt her concerns were not taken seriously. The company said it followed its procedures, investigated the complaint, offered mediation and offered her a return to work with increased hours. The officer said the company offered support and took the complaint seriously, but no appeal process was available after the senior staff member’s investigation.
