WRC recommends worker use internal grievance procedure for future concerns

The WRC recommended that a worker use the employer’s internal grievance procedure for future concerns about work or career, after the worker agreed to re-engage with a performance management process. The recommendation was dated 6 December 2023. The dispute followed the worker’s withdrawal from the process after concerns about an employer email. The employer clarified the email at the hearing, and the adjudication officer said both sides were willing to engage and that the employer regarded the worker positively.
