The Labour Court determined that Four Workers employed by Corlin Developments Ltd were Grade C operatives and entitled to the terms and conditions for that grade under the Construction Industry Registered Employment Agreement. The decision was signed on 22 July 2010. The workers said Corlin was covered by the agreement and that they had not received the proper pay rates or been included in the pension and sick-pay schemes. Corlin disputed that it was covered. Both sides agreed the workers were over 20 and had more than two years’ construction experience before joining the company. After considering the work they performed, the Court found they qualified as Grade C operatives.
