The Labour Court affirmed the decision that Richard Beasley’s employment equality complaint against the Central Bank Of Ireland was outside the six-month time limit. In its determination dated 17 October 2022, the Court said the complaint was received after six months and no reasonable cause had been shown for an extension; the merits were not decided. The case concerned the marking system used in a job selection process. Beasley argued that the latest alleged discrimination occurred when he received a scoresheet on 4 June 2020. The Bank said he had been notified that his application was unsuccessful on 27 April 2020, and the complaint was received on 2 December 2020.
