The Labour Court varied an earlier decision and awarded Jing Quan Xiao €1,000 after finding that Maxol Millmount Service Station Maxol Millmount failed to pay him a Sunday premium on six occasions. The decision was signed on 16 January 2026. Xiao complained that he had not received a premium on seven Sundays and argued that the 10-cent-per-hour premium introduced by the company was below the sector average. The company said it introduced that premium after a WRC inspection and had paid a lump sum and backdated sums owed. The Court found the complaint well founded under the Organisation of Working Time Act 1997.
