The Labour Court varied the Rights Commissioner’s decision on Remigijus Zaltauskas T/A Unwanted Clothing’s appeal, reducing compensation for Gitana Dirgeliene from €4,000 to €3,400. The determination was signed on 7 December 2010. The Court found that Dirgeliene had not received paid annual leave or public-holiday benefits, and that her complaint about those breaches was well founded. Her complaint about daily rest breaks was not well founded because her work was largely self-directed and excluded from the relevant statutory provision. She did not pursue complaints about weekly hours and daily rest before the Court.
