The Labour Court directed Dave Pearse T/A Leitrim Marina Hotel Limited to pay Zahid Monin Chowdhuty the €3,000 awarded by a Rights Commissioner for breaches of the Organisation of Working Time Act 1997. The determination was signed on 29 June 2009, and no appeal had been brought against the original decision within the time limit. Chowdhuty had complained that the employer had not implemented the Rights Commissioner’s decision. The Labour Court determined that the amount was payable in accordance with that decision.
