The Labour Court cut a €17,500 award to Naik Manjunath to €2,200 on Sandyford Trading Ltd T/A Lets Eat In’s appeal, finding he was owed unpaid annual leave. The determination was dated 17 December 2007.
The Court found the rest-break, working-hours and public-holiday complaints not well founded. It accepted that staff had time for meals before opening and that records did not show average hours above 48 a week. Manjunath had received all public-holiday entitlements due for the period examined. The Court found 12.15 days of annual leave remained unpaid and awarded €2,200 in compensation, varying the earlier decision.
