The Labour Court awarded €1,500 each to Grazyvdas Jarasius and Robertas Sabaliauskas and €750 to Ritvars Bozs after finding Damoli Construction Solutions Ltd breached working-time rest-break rules. The determination was signed on 1 July 2007, following the workers’ appeal from a Rights Commissioner dismissal for want of prosecution. The workers said they worked after 6pm without further breaks after a 30-minute lunch break. The company, then in voluntary liquidation, did not defend the appeal. The Court found their evidence established breaches of the requirement for a break after no more than four hours and 30 minutes of work.
