WRC finds discrimination claim against Fineos out of time

The Workplace Relations Commission found Anthony Forrest’s discrimination complaint against Fineos Corporation Limited was out of time and refused an extension. The decision, dated 18 August 2026, did not determine the discrimination allegation on its merits. Three other complaints, under the Sick Leave Act 2022, Health Act 2007 and Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005, were withdrawn. Forrest said he had waited to complete Fineos’s internal grievance process and cited other circumstances in seeking more time. Fineos argued the claim was late and the reasons did not justify an extension. The WRC applied the six-month referral limit and found that pursuing an internal process did not suspend it.
