WRC dismisses farm worker’s employment terms complaint; hours claim out of time

The Workplace Relations Commission found Marcos Pena’s written terms complaint against Tallon Farm not well founded. It had no jurisdiction to hear his claim that he worked more than 65 hours a week during his first two years, finding no reasonable cause to extend the time limit. Pena withdrew a second working-time complaint. The officer found he received written terms before starting work and that his quad-bike training concern fell outside the Act.
