The Workplace Relations Commission found that Joanna Okoniewska's two employment equality complaints and wage complaint failed after she did not attend the hearing or give evidence. In a decision dated 8 June 2026, the WRC said she had not sought a postponement through the hearing and recorded no award. The merits were not decided. Okoniewska had requested another date, citing issues with the hearing letter and asking for a Polish translation of the respondent's submission. Aran Woollen Mills denied discrimination and any entitlement to wages.
