The Workplace Relations Commission awarded former service manager Ciara Walsh €963 after finding she was unfairly dismissed by Maap Childcare Ltd, trading as Tots Creche And Daycare. Adjudication Officer Bríd Deering’s decision was dated 3 September 2026. Walsh said she resigned after raising concerns about her manager’s conduct, inadequate support and the handling of her complaints. The company denied the claim, and its witnesses disputed parts of her account and said support and informal resolution had been offered. The adjudicator found senior management’s friendships compromised its objectivity and that management frustrated Walsh’s efforts to use the company’s dispute procedures. The WRC upheld her constructive unfair dismissal complaint.
