The Workplace Relations Commission has ordered Ignite Cuts Ltd to pay David Benta €4,000 after upholding his complaint of constructive dismissal. The decision was dated 25 February 2026. Benta said an owner shouted at him, unplugged his equipment and told him to leave during an agreed notice period. The company denied dismissing him and said the equipment was unplugged to move his workstation and prevent him discussing his new business with customers. The adjudication officer found the company’s conduct unreasonable and that it justified Benta ending his employment.
