The Workplace Relations Commission ruled on 17 June 2026 that it had no jurisdiction to hear Isabelle Attianesi’s unfair-dismissal complaint against DHL Express Ireland Limited, finding that a compromise agreement validly waived her claims. The decision addressed the preliminary jurisdiction issue; it did not decide whether her redundancy selection was unfair. Attianesi argued that she was unfairly selected for redundancy and that the agreement was not clearly explained. DHL said the agreement was a valid, binding settlement. The adjudication officer found that it identified the statutory rights waived, advised her to seek independent legal advice and gave her nine days to consider it.
