The WRC awarded a care worker €500 after finding a technical breach of working-time record-keeping requirements. Adjudication Officer Brian Dalton dated the decision 28 October 2025. The worker brought two overlapping complaints about breaks at a day centre serving children with special educational needs. The WRC found the centre qualified for an exemption from fixed break times and that adequate compensatory breaks were provided through staff cover and on-site facilities. But the care provider did not produce records showing the breaks had been taken, so the WRC found a technical breach and awarded €500 for the overlapping complaints.
