The Workplace Relations Commission ordered Market Square Pizzeria Ltd. to pay Ludmila Cenusa €1,008 for unpaid statutory sick leave and €1,260 for public-holiday entitlements. The decision by Adjudication Officer Roger McGrath was dated 13 February 2026. Cenusa said she was not paid for four certified sick days and received neither extra pay nor time off for public holidays she worked. The employer disputed receiving the certificate correctly, but accepted it had not paid for some public-holiday work and said 2025 holidays were paid. The officer found both complaints well founded. Complaints about altered work terms and penalisation were not well founded; two other complaints were withdrawn.
