WRC rejects seven complaints against Links Childcare

The Workplace Relations Commission rejected seven complaints by Rossio Wara Fulgeura Tenorio against Links Creche Southside Ltd T/A Links Childcare. She alleged inadequate shift notice, unpaid cancelled or unrostered hours, penalisation after refusing work, race discrimination and safety-related penalisation. The WRC found the shift notice met the 24-hour rule, her relief contract did not guarantee ongoing work or pay for hours not worked, and there was no comparable worker or link between her safety concern and reduced hours. It had no jurisdiction to consider the disability discrimination complaint because itwasoutoftime.
