The Workplace Relations Commission ordered Bus Eireann to pay Robert Anderson €2,000 after finding that the company failed to consult adequately about when he would take annual leave. The decision was dated 21 November 2025. Bus Eireann said its policy required leave applications through its app and that it notified Anderson of the leave period to ensure he took leave within the leave year. The adjudicator found that the late notice left little room to change the period and that insisting on app-only applications did not meet the duty to consult. The adjudicator also noted that Anderson had not proposed alternative dates.
