The Workplace Relations Commission ruled it had no jurisdiction to hear Seif Elmughrabi’s complaint against Wework, and did not decide whether discrimination occurred. In a decision dated 24 March 2026, Adjudication Officer Máire Mulcahy found Elmughrabi had not notified the company that he intended to seek redress under the Equal Status Act. Elmughrabi alleged he was denied access to office and coworking facilities because of religion, race and sexual orientation. Wework argued he had not given the required written notice; Elmughrabi said the company knew of his concerns. The officer found Wework would be prejudiced if the notice requirement were waived.
