The Workplace Relations Commission rejected Ciara Daly’s gender-based equal-pay complaint against Daa Plc Cork, finding that the employer had objectively justified the difference in pay. Adjudication officer Patsy Doyle dated the decision 28 May 2026. No award was made.

Daly said she performed like work with male colleague John Paul Quinn after transferring to an AMU Officer role at Cork Airport and was paid less. DAA accepted the like work and pay difference, but said historical arrangements and the preservation of Daly’s terms on redeployment explained the disparity. The WRC accepted Quinn as a comparator and found that gender was not the reason for the difference.
