The Workplace Relations Commission found it had no jurisdiction to award compensation on complaints by Svetlana Usakova seeking eight weeks’ notice pay and payment for four bank holidays during carer’s leave. The decision was dated 10 February 2025. Whw Brothers Focus Limited T/A Colossus Casino denied that either payment was due and argued the claims were late. The WRC said the complaints were received more than six months after Usakova’s employment ended in June 2020. It found both were out of time; it did not decide whether the pay was owed.
