WRC rejects unfair dismissal complaint against Trilateral Research

The Workplace Relations Commission found that Tally Hatzakis was not unfairly dismissed by Trilateral Research Limited, rejecting her complaint under the Unfair Dismissals Act 1977. Adjudication Officer Brian Dolan dated the decision 8 December 2025. Hatzakis said she was dismissed without notice or procedure at a meeting on 17 July 2024. The company said the employment ended by mutual agreement after she suggested they end it. The officer found that the company reasonably understood her words and later correspondence as agreement to resign, while also accepting that vague allegations about her communications were raised without a proper opportunity for her to challenge them.
