The Workplace Relations Commission (WRC) awarded Celine Murphy €10,400 gross for unfair dismissal, finding her employment ended after she raised a bullying grievance. The decision, dated 8 October 2025, also awarded €400 for holiday pay and €400 for missing written employment terms.
Finglas Support And Suicide Prevention Network CLG. disputed that Murphy was an employee, saying she worked under a contract for services that ended naturally. The WRC found she was an employee and that the organisation dismissed her because of the grievance; it said the complaint should have been independently examined.
The WRC rejected Murphy’s minimum notice complaint because she worked 16 hours a week, below the statutory threshold for computable service. It made no separate award on the safety and health complaint or two wage complaints, finding those matters were covered by other awards or would duplicate compensation.
