The Workplace Relations Commission rejected all three complaints brought by Mary Ann Healy against Children’s Health Ireland, making no award in a decision dated 14 May 2025.
Healy alleged unfair dismissal after raising a grievance, unpaid annual leave and Saturday work, and breaches of fixed-term contract rules. Children’s Health Ireland said her specified-purpose contract ended when the post-holder returned and was not renewed. The adjudicator found the contract had expired, that Healy had received her working-time entitlements and that the contract had not been renewed.
