WRC rejects Ciaran Carey’s discrimination complaint

The Workplace Relations Commission rejected Ciaran Carey’s discrimination complaint against Profile Developments Unlimited Company. The decision was dated 4 December 2024. Carey sought a postponement over a Garda investigation into a workplace incident, but the adjudication officer refused the request, finding no evidence that proceeding would prejudice possible criminal proceedings. Carey then declined to give evidence and did not withdraw the complaint. The WRC found he had not met the burden of proof and that no discrimination was established.
