The Workplace Relations Commission found Dace Balasova was unfairly dismissed by Team Dc Limited after raising concerns about the company’s tax affairs and other compliance issues. In a decision dated 12 March 2026, it ordered the company to pay her €6,600 for unfair dismissal, €2,400 for failing to provide written employment terms and €5,997 in tax deductions collected from her wages but not paid to Revenue.
The WRC found Balasova had been continuously employed since April 2021. Team Dc Limited disputed that it was her employer, arguing another company employed her. The WRC rejected complaints about minimum notice, redundancy and protected disclosures. It also dismissed a second unfair-dismissal complaint concerning the same dismissal after awarding redress on the first claim.
