The Workplace Relations Commission found that Board of Management Scoil Pádraig Naofa unfairly dismissed Artur Marecki, but set compensation at nil. The decision, dated 18 December 2024, said the school had a genuine belief that he falsified his hours, but failed to conduct a full and fair investigation or provide an opportunity for representation before dismissing him immediately. The board said diary entries showed hours recorded when Marecki was absent and that it dismissed him for gross misconduct. Marecki said he was called to a meeting without being told its purpose and acknowledged leaving early on one occasion. The WRC found he contributed 100% to the situation.
