The Workplace Relations Commission upheld Grazina Matuleviciene’s complaint that she was not paid for accrued annual leave when her employment ended. In a decision dated 26 November 2024, it ordered Marguerite McGuinness trading as Shhh By Maggie to pay €1,103.44 in holiday pay and €500 compensation for breaching the Organisation of Working Time Act 1997, and to maintain proper working-time records. McGuinness said her accountant advised that Matuleviciene had been paid everything due and might have been overpaid. The adjudication officer found the respondent could not establish how much leave had accrued or been taken, and had not supplied payslips or working-time records.
