The Workplace Relations Commission dismissed Marin Glamuzina’s complaint against former employer Mcr Outsourcing Limited, finding it was brought under legislation that did not cover workplace discrimination. The decision was dated 17 October 2024. Glamuzina alleged race discrimination and harassment. The respondent objected that it could not answer an employment discrimination claim under the Equal Status Acts. The WRC had asked him to clarify which legislation he wished to rely on, but he did not respond. The officer said the Equal Status Acts cover access to services, while workplace discrimination claims fall under the Employment Equality Acts. She found she could not change the case without the respondent’s consent, which it had not given. The complaint was dismissed as misconceived under section 22, so the merits of the discrimination and harassment allegations were not decided. No award was recorded.
