WRC dismisses Beverley Mellor’s unfair dismissal complaint

The Workplace Relations Commission dismissed Beverley Mellor’s unfair dismissal complaint against The Organic Centre Company Limited Bg The Organic Centre, finding it not well founded. The decision was dated 16 October 2023. Mellor resigned after a meeting at which her manager discussed a possible cut to working hours. She said she felt singled out and pushed out; the employer said it was exploring options to address financial difficulties and that no change had been agreed.
