The Workplace Relations Commission recommended that an employer pay a worker €1,000 as a goodwill gesture after she raised concerns about training, equipment and her manager’s conduct. The recommendation was dated 15 December 2023. The WRC found that most setup problems were eventually resolved, though it took considerable time to equip the worker to do her job. It also found that she resigned without making a formal complaint or giving the employer an opportunity to address her concerns.
