The Workplace Relations Commission did not uphold Andrew A Ennis’s Equal Status complaint against Lidl over an encounter with a car park attendant in a disabled parking space. Ennis said the attendant threatened to clamp his car. Lidl said no employee was involved and that the encounter was with an external clamping company. The adjudication officer found Ennis had not met the written notice requirement and found no exceptional circumstances to waive it. The officer also found Lidl was not the correct respondent and that the complaint did not establish a prima facie case. The decision was dated 25 October 2023.
