WRC finds no prima facie case in Blackrock Clinic discrimination complaint

The Workplace Relations Commission found Rafael Romani Vida Leal could not establish a prima facie case of discrimination against Blackrock Health Unlimited t/a Blackrock Clinic because he cited no discriminatory ground. The decision was dated 20 September 2023. Leal’s complaint concerned conditions of employment, harassment, discriminatory dismissal and victimisatory dismissal. At the hearing, he said none of the discriminatory grounds applied. The respondent had argued that the complaint should be deemed withdrawn, but the WRC did not do so; its decision was that Leal could not establish a prima facie case.
