The Workplace Relations Commission found a complaint by Khan Mohammad Mamun against Tesco Ireland Limited about annual leave pay was not well founded. The decision was dated 11 April 2023. Mamun said he was owed holiday pay for 19.16 hours listed on a payslip dated 26 June 2021. Tesco argued that it had paid 45 hours of holiday pay across three July 2021 payslips and said its final records showed he had taken more leave than he had accrued. The WRC found the complaint was out of time but extended the time limit because reasonable cause existed. It accepted Tesco’s evidence that all holiday pay due had been paid by the end of Mamun’s employment and found the complaint not well founded.
