WRC lacks jurisdiction over health and safety complaint after settlement

The Workplace Relations Commission found it had no jurisdiction to investigate Connie Gerety’s complaint against North Leinster Citizens Information Service Limited, in a decision dated 20 January 2025. Gerety alleged she was penalised for raising a health and safety complaint. The respondent argued that a mediated settlement covered the claim. The adjudication officer found the agreement covered the complaint and was entered with informed consent; the allegation itself was not decided.
