The Workplace Relations Commission dismissed Mark J. Savage’s Equal Status complaint against Meta Platforms Ireland Limited over posts removed from its social-media platform. The decision, dated 3 November 2023, found the claim misconceived under section 22 of the Equal Status Acts.
Savage alleged discrimination on the religion ground. Meta argued that he had not identified the posts, explained how they reflected religious belief or provided facts supporting his allegations. Savage said emails he supplied to the WRC were central to his case. The adjudication officer dismissed the complaint as misconceived.
