The Workplace Relations Commission recommended that an employer take no further action on a worker’s claims about a role transfer, allowance and pay. The decision was dated 6 April 2023. The worker said he had been seconded to a new role for two years and sought a higher, pensionable allowance and increased pay. The employer said the €6,000 annual allowance was non-pensionable. The adjudicator found the worker had accepted a permanent transfer with a two-year allowance review. She rejected his claims that he was prevented from returning to his former role or improperly transferred, and found he suffered no financial disadvantage from the transfer. Any erosion of his terms by the new employer should be raised with that employer.
