The Workplace Relations Commission found Catherine Lynch’s complaint against Dr Declan Scanlon t/a Scanlon Medical Centre well founded and awarded her €1,260.32 in outstanding holiday pay and €224 in public holiday pay. Both payments are gross and will be taxed in the normal manner. Lynch said she received no annual leave or public holiday pay during her employment, apart from entitlements for January to July 2021 paid when the employment ended. The respondent did not attend the hearing. The WRC decision was dated 10 March 2023.
